statutory notifications

Statutory notification process for planning applications takes place in accordance with the Municipal Planning Bylaw of the Municipality in which the application is located. The method of giving notice, and the period for submitting comments are prescribed in each Municipality’s Planning Bylaw and may vary from municipality to municipality. Please therefore refer to the notice of the particular project you have an interest in for more details.

@Planning provides access to planning application information and notices on this website, to assist interested and affected parties to access the application information. This service is over and above the statutory requirements and does not replace the municipality’s official notification process.

You may click on the link below to see the statutory notification and more information for projects that are currently advertised for comment. The link will take you to a SharePoint folder, where you would be able to view or download information in ‘pdf’ format. The published notice contains the information on the closing date for comment, as well as where to submit comments.

Please note, all enquiries about the application, assessment process and comments must be directed to the relevant Municipality as indicated in the notice. Unless specifically stated otherwise, comments and enquiries must not be directed to @Planning.

In line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Act 4 of 2013 certain documents containing personal information such as application forms or title deeds have either been omitted or blacked out. Should you require access to these documents, kindly contact the Municipality concerned.
